April 6th & 7th – Stained Glass with Inessa & Nick

We are excited to have LA-based artists Nick Kasunic and Inessa Illes come through Holland Project to share their skills and knowledge in the realms of stained glass and lead some awesome workshops! We are offering different courses Saturday, April 6th, and Sunday, April 7th. More info and sign-up links below.

This Intro Workshop covers every step of the glass art process: principles of design, tool acquaintance, glass-cutting, soldering, and framing methods. Participants will create their original pieces as large as 8.5”x11” and will have full access to Inessa and Nick’s glass collection. Following the Intro Workshop, participants are welcome and encouraged to stick around for open studio hours with the artists between 2-6pm if they need to finish up their stained glass pieces and to continue the cultivation of their practice.

SUNDAY APRIL 7TH, 10am or 2:30pm
These Free-form design workshops give students an opportunity to explore their creativity through “found” designs using pre-cut scrap glass from Inessa and Nick’s glass collection. Students will learn basic soldering methods after discovering their design to create their own unique stained glass artwork. Two separate sessions will be offered on 4/7: a morning session from 10am-2pm and an afternoon session from 2:30-6:30pm.

* Please note: participants under 15 must be accompanied by an adult at stained glass workshops!

Reduced cost registration and scholarships available for those who need it. Reach out to alisha@hollandreno.org for more information.
