We’re starting off the 10 Year celebrations with one of the most exciting bills we’ve put together. Few bands have been as integral to Holland as Spitting Image, and we couldn’t be more excited that they’ll be reuniting to join us for this wild night. Their sound is dark, brooding, and incredibly melodic post-punk, like a mix between The Wipers, The Smiths, and Christian Death. Their last show was in 2014, and this one can’t come soon enough. Joining em for this momentous occasion are an equally momentous band: Bay Area rippers Culture Abuse. These guys put out one of the most hyped punk albums of the last year out (Peach), and brought their unique mix of hardcore, garage-punk and dream-pop to the forefront. The last time they played Reno was with Spitting Image, so it’s more than fitting that they’re returning with them. To open up the night, we have a real treat for ya. Blackstallion (the dark and abstract emo influenced bedroom pop of Nathan Lachner), Lil Traffic & Friends (Reno’s best trap/hip-hop crew), and Surly (the introspective pop-punk of Erin Miller).

On the Subject of bands that mean a lot to Holland, the one and only Shannon and the Clams are returning for one very special Saturday night. Their last show here was one of the wildest Holland had ever seen, and we can’t wait to see how y’all are gonna make this one wilder! Their sound takes the carefree surfy sounds of 60’s doo wop, and mixes it with 70’s punk influence, and mix it into a performance that no other band can top. Joining for one special night are Ed Schraders Music Beat. One guy singing, occasionally playing a drum, and another guy on bass. Sounds limited, but might be one of the best live acts to come through our doors; at times heavy, at times quiet and introspective, but always totally captivating. Joining on the local front, we have the incredible duo Rob Ford Explorer (jazz meets garage-punk meets math rock meets noise rock), The Boys (upbeat young punks, like a glitter-coated mix between Priests and Childbirth), and a special experimental set from dance-pop/darkwave master Solterona.

And DON’T YOU DARE forget about the SATURDAY AFTER PARTY at 40 Mile feat. the return of The Juvinals and Short Hair w/ DJ Short Shortz.

Also joining the party, is Nom EatsBibo Freddo, a special pop-up shop and installation, Slovenly Records + Sticker Guy, and MORE! <3
