– develop art opportunities for youth in the region
– create community collaborations through art

ARTISTS + CURATORS: APPLY FOR A SHOW
We are always open to ideas, submissions and discussions regarding visual art shows and potential exhibitions, as well as small-scale performances within the gallery space. If you are interested in proposing an exhibition for one of the HP Galleries READ MORE HERE.
ARTISTS UNDER 21
Each school year we host two Young Blood showcases. This is a night where artists under-21 can take over the gallery to feature and sell their artwork. No constraints. No screening process. The next Young Blood will be held October 2022.
VOLUNTEER + INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The gallery is steered by a committee of people who have had experience both as artists and curators – a group devoted to displaying the exciting talent that is inherent in youth. The Gallery Committee meets once a month to provide community input, develop new ideas and review submission proposals. Committee members serve at-will and volunteer a set amount of hours monthly.
The Gallery Intern, or Gallery Associate, is an individual under 25 who is interested in visual art and aesthetics, gallery operations, curation and promotion. The main focus of the position is the Micro Gallery in which the intern is given the reins to curate, coordinate, promote, install and host exhibitions. We seek out highly motivated and reliable individuals who can commit to a 4 month, 20 hours a month position that is filled through a simple application process. The next Gallery Associate begins Summer 2022.
The Gallery Crew is a maintenance volunteer position that offers experience working in a gallery setting. The Crew assists once or twice a month (typically on weekends) with de-installing and installing exhibitions in the main gallery space.
If you’re interested in any of these volunteer positions, shoot alberto@hollandreno.org an email.
