Youth ArtWorks Opportunity!

Hey Artists! Youth ArtWorks just released its new 2008 schedule and there are some great projects in the works. They are hiring (yep, you get paid) 50 young people (they call them Apprentices) between the ages of 14-21 to assist on each of the projects. Among some of the projects listed are a Hug Mural Project, Bike Rack Sculpture Project, Plumas Wall Project, a performance art piece, a digital imaging project, and a backstage pass design project.

Here’s what they say:

“Training is provided; art experience is helpful but not required. Apprentices may be required to do some lifting and work on ladders, scaffolds, or motorized lift equipment. Required safety gear and training is supplied. All positions are paid. Applicants must submit a job application, recommendation form and a sample piece of artwork by Friday, June 1, 2007; applications and recommendation forms can be downloaded directly from www.youthartworks.org.”
