Every year, The Holland Project hosts a free summer arts and music festival with a new name and theme, but all under the same mission: to celebrate the breadth of local arts and music in Reno and do something big and always different!
For 2026, our festival called “XP” aka Cross Pollination will feature: an outdoor show of all local bands with a line-up decided by voters in a “battle of the bands” leading up to the event; an immersive and interactive group art exhibition throughout the venue called “Wind chimes and Whirligigs” (submit your work HERE!); an installation by local artist Luke Rizzotto in Serva Pool; a group bike ride from Hampton House to Holland Project; skillsharing booths and hands-on activities (submit to do demos/workshops HERE!); videos and films by local artists, photobooth opportunities, and more!
This event will take place over two days, with the band showcase on day one, Saturday, July 25th, and the film festival on the evening of day two, Sunday, July 26th. Dressing up as your favorite pollinator (bee? fly? jack rabbit? iguana? up to you!) is highly encouraged for the bike ride and event on July 25th. All events are FREE, but donations are appreciated for supporting the future of accessible, all-ages, and fun cultural events in Reno.
This event is made possible by the hard work of awesome artists and volunteers and, in part, by a grant from the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission.
Participating Artists, Directors, and Musicians include: La Gente Collective, lukewärm, Alex Hellacaster, Brusher, Limerence, Next Question, Pussy Velour, The Zines, Nathaniel Benjamin, Tyler Bevill, Tatum Hanshew, Kai Morikawa, Mik + Fray, Drew Willis, Trevor Castillo, Liv Rogers, Eric Chavez, GoodKid Collective, Anthony Santos, Lain Vallieres, Ellyn Pillers, Jordyn Lee, James Franco, and many, many more in the group exhibition to be announced.
