Work in Progress

Work in Progress (or WIP)
is an annual, 5-month program introducing advanced art techniques to local high school students through a series of workshops led by talented local/regional artists. Through WIP, students create original artwork utilizing their new skills and collaborate with each other on curating an exhibition in the HP Gallery. Participants also learn how to get involved in the local arts community. WIP workshops happen every Wednesday after school at the Holland Project and are free for all participating high school students. This next WIP will run from October 15, 2025, to March 2026, with an exhibition from February 24-28, 2026. Space is limited, and applications to participate are required.

Got questions? Just ask Alisha at alisha@hollandreno.org. Alisha and HP staff can provide information on ADA accessibility, answer questions about any accommodations or needs you might have, and provide Spanish-language applications and materials, too.

APPLICATIONS FOR 2025-2026 ARE CLOSED.
PLEASE JOIN US FOR A CLOSING RECEPTION FOR THE 25-26 WIP STUDENT EXHIBITION ON FEBRUARY 28TH, 4-6 PM.

Our teen programming is supported by our generous partners, including the William H. Moffat Jr. Foundation, the John Ben Snow Foundation, and the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission.
