Tri-Lab 2024

Nicknamed “the fun one”, the sixth annual Tri-Lab Street Party was a collaboration between Craft Wine & Beer, Reno Bike Project, The Holland Project, and KWNK Community Radio. The event hosted an indie artist market, KWNK DJs, live music from Charity Kiss and Blackstallion, carnival games, and a dunk tank in addition to the release of the limited edition Tri-Lab 2024 Rice Lager by Imbib Custom Brews. Proceeds from the event benefitted the Reno Bike Project and The Holland Project.

Each year, the limited edition beer release includes a label by a local artist. 2024’s featured artist was Cesar Piedra, who created a hand-felted artwork for the occasion. “I often look to Mesoamerican codices for inspiration, flipping through the pages of reproductions and archeological catalogs I am taken back by the splendor of the cultures of North and Central America. Filled with curiosity about the meaning of the objects and iconography present in the texts, to then wonder about the library of stories and the lessons lost as a result of colonization. A beer can label is the perfect place for an invitation for people to hold space and to share and swap stories.”

Participating vendors included Deso Supply, Atelier in Reno, Great Basin Pottery w/ Thrive & Thicken, KP Kreations, Discovering Myself, Elements Sazon, Terroir Herbals, Velvet Pill, Sadbradbury, Uzi Gutierrez, Crafting with Santos, Kilroy Vntg, The Radical Cat, and La Selva de Dos Mujeres.

Tri-Lab VI was held on June 13, 2024, at Craft Wine & Beer, 22 Martin Street, Reno Nevada. Special thanks to councilmember Brekhus for their support of the event. The Tri-Lab Rice Lager was also available at partner locations including Reno Public House, The Glass Die, Emerson, and Corrigan’s Lost Highway!
