Cosmic Puzzle Exhibition
July 27-August 2, 2024
Curated by David Delfin
A time machine has crashed into the roof of the Holland Project following a mysterious break-in where a “Kombucha Beacon” was left behind. It appears a developer, Jake Jeffobs, and his golf course enterprise “Astral Greens” is behind the machine, but who was behind its demise? Artifacts and debris left after the impact not only give us a glimpse into future life, but also give us clues to the Cosmic Puzzle left to be solved on July 27, 2024.
Artifact artists: Ashley Brock, Samantha Buchanan, Brandy Burgess, Ashley Frost, Nina Hees, Inessa Illes, Jenny Jiang, Nick Kasunic, Alex Lee, Audrey Love, Shelby McAuliffe, Anna Newman, Luke Rizzotto, Adrian Rodriguez, and Maya Tran. Special thanks to the Lilley Museum for their support.
Cosmic Puzzle was a multi-stop, interactive, and immersive arts & music event produced by Holland Project in collaboration with dozens of local musicians and visual artists. Activities included an exhibition in the HP Gallery, a fashion show at the Downtown Reno Library, puppet show with live musical score at the National Automobile Museum, martial arts performance and “Square Nevada” protest demonstration at the Believe Plaza, parade back to Holland Project, and outdoor performance by Dingbat Superminx followed by an ext.mp3 rave.
