The exhibition FUSE was a selection of artworks from the Desert Biennial Project presentation, GRAVITY, which occurred on a dry lake bed on the outskirts of Las Vegas on October 18, 2025. Curator Laura Esbensen brings together Nevada artists working across installation, print, sculpture, and image-based practices to highlight the power of “seams” as spaces of potential.
About the Curator: Laura Esbensen is an artist living and working in Las Vegas, Nevada. She holds a BA in Studio Arts from the University of California, San Diego, and an MFA in Fine Arts from Lesley University. Her recent exhibitions include SOMA (Core Contemporary, Las Vegas), Our Imagined Future (Bell Projects, Denver), and Subtle Force (Union Grove Gallery, Huntsville). Esbensen is the administrative director of Art+Everywhere and co-founder of +West, a regional critique initiative.
