I don’t know who made this comic but as a 100% born and bred dutchman I can tell you we don’t speak english with a german accent. Any association with germany is highly offensive to us because we lost the worldcup soccer in ’74 to them! 😉

Most dutch speak english, french and german fluently because they are our neighbors.

that’s true actually–my first roommate in college, Femke, was dutch and sounded nothing like a german–and spoke english, german and french fluently.
