Gallery Reception for Work In Progress 25-26

February 28 @ 4:00 PM6:00 PM

Free

Please join us for an artist reception celebrating the work of this season’s Work in Progress students. Work in Progress (or WIP) is Holland Project’s after-school program for high schools seeking to grow as artists and cultural workers. Holland joins forces with local artists to share their knowledge in artmaking, studio practices, gallery exhibitions, and more with up-and-coming teen artists in weekly workshops each Fall and Winter.

This exhibition will show the work of 18 students who have spent the past session learning professional skills from local artists Jordyn Owens & Edgar Padilla (photo walk), Bobby Lee (book arts), Ana Perez-McKay & Maddie Cantrell (fiber arts), Rachel Dickson (community driven art projects and zines), Stephanie Gibson (Cultural Museum Work/The Lilley Museum), Austin Pratt and David Delfin (Gallery Practices), and Alisha Funkhouser (Analog Photography).

The exhibition is on view for a short window, February 25-27 with hours from 12-6pm. The closing reception will be Saturday, February 28th from 4-6pm.

The WIP program and this exhibition are made possible thanks to our generous supporters at the William H. Moffat Jr. Foundation, the John Ben Snow Foundation, and a grant from the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission.
