Please join local artist Joud Galata for two watercolor workshops. These classes are suited for painters of all skill levels and newbies are encouraged to join. Joud will focus on technique and painting birds as the subject matter, capturing their beauty and essence.
Born and raised in Gaza, Joud Galata is a watercolor artist and visual storyteller whose life has been shaped by art. He holds a degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia, graduating as the top student from Gaza University, and over the years has expanded his expertise from digital media and branding to fine art. Watercolor painting has become the heart of Galata’s artistic practice. His work explores transformation—capturing emotions, resilience, and the beauty found in change. Whether through delicate washes of color or bold compositions, his paintings reflect deeply personal narratives intertwined with broader themes of identity, displacement, and rebirth. Beyond painting, Galata has dedicated himself to art education and mentorship, teaching at Gaza University and mentoring over 150 students. Now based in Reno, Nevada, he continues to create, exhibit, and share his knowledge, and preparing for an upcoming solo exhibition, “Rebuild the Soul”. Galata’s work is more than visual—it’s a testament to the power of art as a tool for healing, storytelling, and connection.
