Thought on Tap: Building Coalitions

In collaboration with the Core Humanities Program at UNR, we are proud to host another “Though on Tap” event. Please join your host Daniel Enrique Perez and panelists for a discussion titled, “Building Coalitions to Protect and Advance Civil and Human Rights”.  Panelists involved in different social justice movements will speak on how they work with others to expand their movements and support one another. They will also address the following questions: What does the current civil rights movement look like? How does it compare to other civil rights movements from the past or from other countries? What are the strengths and areas for improvement of the current movement? How can different groups and organizations learn to identify common interests in order to build larger and stronger coalitions?
