The Love Darts are a bunch of horse ownin’, cat lovin’, sloppy rock and rollers from Bozeman, Montana. A college/ski town with an easygoing ‘dirtbag’ past, Bozeman is quickly metastasizing into something else. And on their sophomore release, ‘Neon Girls,’ The Darts take note. Getting right to the point, the opening track,’Five Over One’ bemoans the town’s epidemic of high-rises…interrupting the mountain views and making life less affordable for locals. Joyless margaritas, sleepless nights, and white lightning ensue. Nonetheless, The Love Darts—Jimi Kehoe, Jeff Jensen, Joey Kehoe and Graham Owen—deliver ‘Neon Girls’ with a crunchy, joyous gusto, plenty of viral hooks, and an eye to the world outside.
