Join the cast and crew of Night of the Living Dead Live for a ghoulish good time and in support of raising funds for the production which debuts on the Good Luck Macbeth stage October 4-26, 2024.
From 6:30-7:30 pm, the evening will start with a Horror Panel Discussion featuring local artists with an affinity for the horrific, the macabre, and the camp. Moderated by Assistant Director and Dramaturg, Lily Perez, this time will give the panel and the audience an opportunity to share their stories with all things horror and observe how the genre bends, breaks, and transforms to reflect the times.
Next, from 7:30-8:30 pm, we’ll be dancing the daylight away to DJ Ruby Jo.
Once night falls, we’ll creep outside for a screening of the 1968 classic “Night of the Living Dead.” Bring a blanket, low-backed chair, or other cozy items to enjoy the outdoor film screening. Throughout the night we’ll have baked goods available for a donation to help us raise funds to support the production. The film runtime is a little over 1.5 hours.
$10 suggested donation at the door. No one turned away for lack of funds (NOTAFLOF)
Night of the Living Dead Live is directed by Jovani Lugo with a vision of making the project an abundantly joyful and inclusive experience for our cast, crew, and community–especially those whose faces and voices are often not represented on stage. Our responsibilities as artists and community members are to reflect the current zeitgeist and to use the vessel of storytelling to create a more accessible, creative, and equitable future for the next generation.
