Material Matters Workshop

material matters is a series of resistance art workshops leading up to a fashun show. we will educate ourselves on key issues such as land and water protection, fashion industry waste, local organizing history and third world revolutions, and we welcome you to weave your passions into the conversations and your art as well.

local artists will offer lessons on various mediums at the beginning of each workshop; however, the space is open to general workshopping for the fashun show at these times.

for workshop 1, bring pants and/or skirts to mend. and throughout this series, please bring fabrics, scraps, and any ideas you would like to incorporate. if you need support in acquiring supplies, please reach out.
