Come make film soup with us! In this hands-on workshop, local artist Camryn Maher will lead us through the experimental process of film souping, a technique used to manipulate film by submerging it in different types of liquids to create abstract artifacts and surreal color shifts to your images once the film is developed. Camryn will share tips, tricks, and recipes with us to achieve different effects and will fill us in on where/how to get our souped film developed.
We will provide all the ingredients for mixing up your own unique film soup concoctions. Participants can bring their own previously shot rolls of 35mm film to soup (cheap color film works best), or can use a mystery roll of pre-shot film we will have available at Holland. We will also have new rolls of color and black & white film available for purchase at the workshop in case you want to experiment with more film souping at home.

Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds for workshop registration unless the workshop is cancelled, instructors can’t make it, or in the event of an emergency situation. We thank you for your understanding! <3
