Traci L. Turner Opening Reception

In the Hallway Gallery this fall we are pleased to exhibit work by local painter, Traci L. Turner. Traci’s work often explores matters of the heart and emotional vulnerability. For her exhibition, Cor Cordium, Traci presents a series of human hearts which she has been building upon over the course of 2 years. During that time the series has evolved to be as much about color as it is about presenting each of the hearts as a sort of token to remind people about the act of feeling. With this series Traci sets out to challenge both herself and the viewer to be mindful of what is inward. Who are we and what do we truly desire, in the deepest depths of our core? What kind of effort are we making to align the external with the internal?
