Succulence Reception

Succulence features work by local Reno artist Katera Neil.  Neil is a mixed media artist whose work focuses on want, temptation, and the inevitability of rot.  Her graphic sensibilities create a dialogue between her pieces and the advertising on which she comments.  Succulence drives her art which beguiles the viewer with its beauty, while subtly reminding them of the surety of death.  Neil invites her audience “soak in the succulence” and “delve into decadence and desire.”

 

Succulence will be up in the Holland Project Micro Gallery at Bibo Coffee Shop on 945 Record Street from November 20 to December 22.  The reception will be held on November 29 from 6pm to 8pm.
