Soap Making Workshop

Join DIY soap maker and amateur kitchen scientist Kristin Rodriguez for a workshop on soap making!
There are several methods of making soap, but we’ll be discussing cold process (or CP) soap. Cold process is the old-fashion, all-natural way of making soap—without all the nasty dyes, artificial fragrances, and preservatives! This workshop will cover all the basics: recipes, how to handle sodium hydroxide (lye), qualities of different oils/fatty acids, and how to use essential oils. While most of this will be interactive demonstration, you’ll leave with the supplies and know-how to go home and create your own little chunk of (v) soap!
