Skeeno in Black & White & Words: Roots of Punk in Reno, 1979-1985

August 14, 2015 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

We are brimming with excitement to partner with the awesome and amazing Bessie Oakley (of The Wrecks!) to present a killer gem of an exhibition in the Holland Project Gallery from August 11 – September 4. Featuring photos by Gary Elam and Cari Marvelli, as well as flyers, fanzines, letters and an interactive community photo wall, the exhibit traces the roots of the Reno punk rock scene from its inception in 1979-1985.

The opening reception is Friday, August 14 starting at 6pm and will include short readings from an upcoming book “Growing up Punk in Northern Nevada.” Everyone is invited to bring pix of friends and fans from this era to share during the exhibit and pin up on the community photo wall (copies encouraged 🙂 ).
