Show Photography Workshop

Join rad photographers Dane Haman, Alisha Funkhouser, and Denali Lowder as they go over various skills, techniques, tips, and tricks to help you hone your photographic skills in a setting that’s often trying to say the least–at shows. Venues are dark, musicians and bands move around, you have to compete with audience members (while simultaneously not getting in their way or ruining the vibe of the show), and do it all quickly, and without a tripod or extra lights or equipment.
Show photography is a trick, but when it’s done well, it’s simply the best. And as a bonus, all the tricks you’ll learn can apply to a bunch of other settings too (parties, skateboarding, night events, and more!).
We’ll go over analog and film-based cameras, digital cameras (both cheaps and more expensive and sophisticated ones), fun and experimental cameras, settings, flash, techniques for all, tips to think about when shooting, how to make life easier, how to get the good shot, and lessons learned from three folks who definitely have some wisdom to impart.
It’s just $5, and this workshop will be a hands-on deal–so bring your cameras and be ready to experiment and learn!
