The Holland Project + Nevada Museum of Art’s summer event is BACK! Like Forage, Tiny Gems, Stay Gold, and last year’s High & Dry, SHORT CIRCUIT is a collaborative, multi-faceted pop-up art and music event spanning across Reno. This year’s theme digs into “tech noir” and an 80’s vision of the future: sometimes dystopian, sometimes utopian. There will be plenty of neon lights, lasers, and dancing to make it a memorable one!
All events are FREE and OPEN to the public!

START at 6:00 PM: The Holland Project
Shadow Wall by Alisha Funkhouser and Dungeon Crawler exhibition curated by Alana-lynn Berglund. Glow-in-the-dark refreshments will be served! Open till 7:30PM
6:30-8:00 PM: Shopper’s Square, Enter at former Casa de Oro (237 E. Plumb Lane)
Park your bikes for free at Casa de Oro! Head to former Kona Girl location for Endall: Food for the Future, a piece by Em Jiang + Erin Miller + Tara Tran
6:30-8:00 PM: Shopper’s Square, Former Marshall’s storefront (between Port-of-Subs + Cold Stone)
30,000 sq. ft. Cyber Punk Mall including installations by Mahedi Anjuman, Austin Clinton, Daniel Hart, Nick Minor, Fiona McElhany, Cameron Paris, Yale Wolf, Peter Whittenberger, and Aric Shapiro with soundscape by $pellB!NDER.
7:50 PM: Meet up with your Bikes at Shopper’s Square, Casa de Oro
Group ride with the Reno Bike Project to Nevada Museum of Art at 8:00PM
8:30 PM: Nevada Museum of Art Theater
Live score to the film “Fantastic Planet” by Ilya Arbatam, Steven Corder, Tucker Rash, Jamie Hemingway, and Michael DeWayne.
8:30-11:00 PM: Nevada Museum of Art Skyroom
Rooftop party! There will be screen printing with Laika Press, retro pinball, a Glow Room by Nathaniel Benjamin, a giant Lite Brite, 80’s Airbrush Makeup and DIY Fashion, dancing, sci-fi flicks, photo-ops, food trucks, bar + refreshments, with music by DJ Peachsprite, Yung Milkcrate, and an 80’s cover band.
