LA’s Sextile are joining us for a very special night with Everybody Dies for Now and Stirr Lightly. Beyond their astrological band name, Sextile make occult inspired tunes, drawing from the surfier side of Protopunk like The Fall, and taking it to the bleak sounds of early industrial and post-punk like Bauhaus. They just got off a tour with ADULT. and we’re way way stoked to get em through. Joining on the local front, Everybody Dies for Now brings an ethereal and sublime take on Darkwave. Using their experience with jazz composition an A+ songwriting to bring you something real fresh. To top it off, this is going to be one of Stirr Lightly’s only summer shows. Their sound could be compared to the surfy rock of La Luz, but at times it can fly in an entirely different direction, mixing in politics, tv shows, and 3 part harmonies into a set we promise ya don’t wanna miss.
