We’ve got a real romp around for y’all with Sativa Cult on August 13! Sativa Cult take a Bleach-era Nirvana base and adds Dinosaur Jr.-like guitar solos, all heard through a “Purchasecore” lens. They released their debut album on DIY emo up-and-coming label, Driftwood Records. They’re on tour with Gottem, an emo group with songs like “Aziz Ansari I didn’t call you back” and “Will.i.Am is a fragment sentence. They’re clearly taking themselves seriously and you should too. Locals Bat Country will be on the bill as well. Lead by the songwriting prowess of Shane Heimerdinger, that kid really knows how to write a banger. Thursday, August 13 8:30PM $5.
