Richard Jackson: Last Train to Satansville

February 27, 2020 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Richard Jackson was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and is the current Ceramics Tech at the University of Nevada, Reno Art Department. He has been actively involved in art his entire life, first doodling skulls in 1973/74 and beginning his studies in ceramics in 1987. Jackson feels fortunate to be mentored by great Nevada artists such as Michael Sarich, Edw Martinez, and Fred Reid stating, “I am eternally grateful for having those old guys around. They still make skulls. I still make skulls. I don’t see much change in the future.” Jackson dedicates this new body of work to his old buddy, Scott Tranchida. Rest in Peace.

Last Train to Satansville is on view from February thru April in the HP Ferino Gallery, located inside the Ferino Distillery at 541 E 4th St, Reno, NV. The Ferino Gallery is open Wed. – Sun. with all-ages access from 11am-3pm and 21+ access from 3pm-12am.
