Pedal Making Workshop #2

December 11, 2016 @ 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM $65

Due to popular demand, we’ve added a second workshop (just like the first) for those that missed it and still want to attend and make their own pedal!

Fix, build and tinker — it’s easier than you think! Learn to solder — and de-solder!! — take measurements, read those crazy schematics, and even understand them. The Electronics Basics workshop is required for those doing the Guitar Pedal (following the Basic Electronics workshop) or Build Your Own Amp (taking place in Spring 2017), but all are welcome to come and hone the skills necessary to troubleshoot broken gear, replace those cool little components, or even just repair that cable your cat chewed through! Coffee / Donuts provided, and an hour break provided for those continuing on to Pedal Building.

Ever wondered how guitar pedals work? Ever opened up your stomp boxes and fiddled around with the components inside? Ever built a guitar pedal kit and wanted to design your own? If the answer to any of those questions is yes then this is the workshop for you! Over the course of an afternoon you will be provided with the supplies and the know-how to design and build your own custom guitar or bass Overdrive stomp box, ranging from clean signal boost to full on raging distortion. Everyone will leave the workshop with a functioning guitar pedal and the knowledge needed to design and build more guitar pedals in the future.

Basic Electronics + Pedal Building = $65 (includes all supplies/materials and you leave with your own pedal!)

**If you’d like to sit-in on Pedal Building and not participate (but watch and learn), special $15 tickets are available. Email us at workshops@hollandreno.org.

This workshop is taught by Morgan Travis (More Gain Amplification) and Ilya Arbatman (Odd Time Electronics).
