Off Beat Fest: Worn-Tin, Waltzer, Fake Fruit, Clarko

We cannot WAIT for this stacked bill as part of Off Beat Festival, as Fake Fruit, Waltzer, Worn-Tin and Clarko roll through for Day 1! Hailing from Oakland, Fake Fruit operates in the same post-punk / art-rock lane that groups like Pylon and Suburban Lawns blazed in the 1980s, and they make that style sound just as fresh and just as vibrant. Waltzer is a Chicago-based project of Sophie Sputnik, blending goth, country, and soul in a style reminiscent of early US Girls or Shannon & the Clams that is just begging you to dance around to. Worn-Tin is an LA-based psych-pop group known for their unpredictable live performances, and Clarko is our favorite Devo-worship punk band fronted by our beloved Clark Demerrit. We CANNOT wait for this show and neither should you.
