Emily Yacina grew up outside of Philadelphia, and began writing songs in 2010 at the age of 14. Equipped with a microphone and acoustic guitar, she used her experiences to write and self-produce honest songs about experiences in relationships & their sentimental effects. Since then, Emily has self-released dozens of songs on her Bandcamp page. Emily is also known for her vocal contributions on Alex G’s album DSU as well as Beach Music.
Los Angeles songwriters Etta Friedman (18) and Allegra Weingarten (19) began their bedroom pop two piece, Momma, soon after meeting in high school and bonding over a mutual love of LA’s DIY scene. Inspired by the scene surrounding local all ages venues like The Smell and Pehrspace, the two started the recording project as a way to write about and reflect on their experiences as young women growing up today.
