MESHES Video Art Club feat. Michelle Lassaline
September 16, 2018 @ 6:30 PM
MESHES is a free monthly video art screening featuring works and video selections by emerging and established contemporary artists. Original pieces are paired with videos chosen by the artist from anywhere in the internet/film/video universe that either provide context or serve as inspiration for their own work. All programs run under one hour.
We are excited to announce a very special Meshes with artist Michelle Lassaline. Lassaline was born and raised in the high desert of Northern Nevada and is currently based in Seattle, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNR in 2014 and has exhibited nationally including with the City of Seattle Arts in Parks; Nevada Museum of Art (Reno); and Churchill Arts Council (Fallon) among others. Lassaline is known for her performance work wearing paper mâche masks and handsewn costume. Her Meshes presentation will be the public premiere of her latest video work, Pelican, followed by a Q&A and reception with refreshments.
