Martini’s Law Opening Reception

The Holland Project Gallery is starting off the New Year with a fully immersive gallery installation by Bakersfield, CA based artist, Jared Haug from Jan. 17 – Feb. 5th. Martini’s Law is aptly titled after a phenomenon experienced by deep-sea divers in which the swallowing depths create an euphoric sensation clouding perception and inhibiting faculties. The exhibition showcases mixed media works incorporating processes of de-celeration, dis-identification and non-productivity as a way to counter the frantic tendencies and demands of the capitalist market.
Join us for a special Sunday Opening Reception with the artist on January 17, from 1-3pm. In addition to the amazing work Jared will give a brief artist talk about the exhibition and his process plus we’ll have warm drinks and sweet treats!
