Lanayah is a “fairly unclassifiable blackened screamo” collective based in Santa Barbara, CA and Seattle, WA. They are incredibly loud. The band formed in 2016 and currently consists of guitarist Lynn McTague, synthesist Ari Brown, and multi-instrumentalist Juno Callender. Their sound travels through dense fog and wide open landscapes, with jagged riffs, synthetic ambient passages, and intertwining polyrhythms.
