JOT Writing Workshop

September 20, 2022 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Free

About JOT Workshops:

Who: All ages, all types of writers and non-writers.
What: All genres. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, sci-fi, romance, essay writing, journaling – whatever you are working on! Jot facilitator will provide various exercises and prompts to help the creative process flow.
When: Please see the Holland Project Calendar. Don’t worry about being right on time or needing to leave early. This is an encouraging space and time, and should not stress you out.
Where: Typically held in the Serva Pool annex at the Holland Project, 140 Vesta Street, Reno, NV.
Why: Because most people are compelled to write, and our stories matter. So bring your laptop, notebook, napkins, and gum wrappers to finally compile your novel or life story…or jot down something new.

Our hope is that Jot Workshops are whatever you need them to be in the moment, creating an encouraging, non-academic environment for people to set aside time to write. If there is a writing piece you are working on, or you just want to get out of the house or try something new – come write with us! Sharing what you write in or out of the workshops is always welcome, but not obligatory.

Constructive criticism is welcome on an invite-only basis; meaning, the writer will need to request feedback in the session from other participants or via email.
