EXTENDED! “In the Dark With Friends” Closing

This fall at the Holland Project we had the opportunity to transform our back gallery space into a fully functional darkroom— something we had been dreaming of doing for years. With the mission of providing workshops and learning opportunities in a fully functional and equipped darkroom, the Holland Project Community Darkroom served as a safe and accessible space for local photographers of all ages and experience levels to develop film, make/enlarge prints, and explore black & white analog processes. Even with the added difficulties of 2020, the first annual Community Darkroom was a true success and we are excited to bring it back as a pop-up for a couple of months each summer from here on out! This exhibition showcases and celebrates some of the wonderful photographs that were developed and printed in the darkroom at Holland this fall and includes work by Kirsten Mashinter, Marjorie Williams, John L’etoile, Sierra Jickling, Sam Faulsitch, Topher Warburton, Summer Orr, and Alisha Funkhouser.
In the Dark With Friends will be on view January 5, 2021 – March 2, 2021, in the HP Satellite Gallery located inside Cafe Capello at 248 W 1st St #250, Reno, NV. HP Satellite Gallery is open Mon-Thurs, 7 AM – 3 PM and Fri-Sun 7 AM – 6 PM.
