In Abandon… Photographs from the Discarded West

From October 19 – November 13 the Holland Project Micro Gallery presents the work of local photographer and writer Shaun Astor in an exhibition titled In Abandon… Photographs from the Discarded West. Through documenting his travels with his camera Shaun has become fascinated in the fringe communities and the strange geographies that get cast aside in the rugged western landscape. With his narrative photographs Shaun captures more than just a physical scene or subject and is able to grasp upon stories of disaster and the mercurial intersection where life and tumult meet.
