6/29 is gonna be rad! We’ve got Heaven for Real, Okay Urge, and Pry!
Novia Scotia’s own Heaven for Real make killer slacker pop. Their meandering and laid back tunes mix in reverbed out and jazzy instrumentation, and garage rock senseabilities that land them somewhere between Cherry Glazerr and Mac Demarco. For locals on this, we’ve got a real treat for you guys. Our good friends in Okay Urge, who make a combination of anthemic grunge-pop hooks, sweeping synths, and playfully dark lyricism akin to bands like pavement. Last but not least, the jangley and wild sounds of Pry, Watson and Victoria’s new project combining shoegazy leads and 90’s indie punk. If you missed their first show, don’t miss this!
