Distance – Opening Reception

From September 22 – October 2 the Holland Project Gallery will showcase new work by recent UNR BFA grads Ashley Follmer and David Tilley. Distance combines figurative realist paintings emphasizing changes in interpersonal communication, with process-oriented poetic works focusing on geographic and regional identity using sound, text, and letterpress-printed art objects. Both artists are interested in the distancing effects of contemporary life, expressing this idea in works that are both intimate and universally accessible.
