Dark Fantasy Reception

We are pleased to end the year in the HP Satellite Gallery with Dark Fantasy, an exhibition by local illustrator/designer, Jill Colbert aka Manfish Inc. Fueled by coffee and metal music, Jill loves to explore an aesthetic of dark elegance. When creating, she enjoys playing with the unexplained while attempting to answer the question “Why not?”. Exposure to pop surrealism during her high school years and pouring over art history books sparked a huge fire of inspiration. Jill graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design and has been working as a freelance illustrator for over seven years with the majority of her work based in the music industry. Not fitting into a box has always been a goal of Jill’s and she has fallen in love with the dark, the surreal, the whimsical, and the macabre.
Dark Fantasy is on view from Nov. 2nd – Dec. 31st in the Satellite Gallery, located inside Cafe Capello at 248 W 1st Street. Join us for a reception with the artist on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 6-8pm.
