Courtney Asztalos + Alex Vitale Opening Reception

We’re ringing in the New Year in the Holland Project Gallery with two exciting new photography based exhibitions.
In the front and hallway space of the gallery we have Purple Domino featuring work by badass photog and artist, Courtney Asztalos. Her bold portraits of female protagonists cast in contrasty neon light explore the masked realms of her subjects while also touching on notions of post-humanism and the idea of the ‘monstrous’ beyond gender. Courtney is currently based out of NY where she is pursuing an MFA in the Photography and Transmedia program at Syracuse University. We are so stoked for her to visit Reno and to exhibit her photography work in the Holland Project Gallery!
Showing simultaneously in the gallery will also be new work by local photog, Alex Vitale entitled “Spaces”. Alex’s work is impacted by their non-binary gender identity, as they seek to represent a space that is neither male nor female.
Both exhibits will be on view in the Holland Project Gallery from January 10th – 27th. Come meet and mingle with both artists and check out their killer work during the Opening Reception on Tuesday, January 10th from 6-8pm.
