Ceremony is back July 17. They dropped their 5th LP, The L-Shaped Man, last month and it furthered their evolution from angst driven, Infest inspired power violence, to bleak and brooding post punk a la Bauhaus and Joy Division. Creative Adult, longtime Holland favorites, deeper explore their raw and emotional post-punk sound on their newest EP Ring Around the Room. San Francisco’s Plush are a fuzzy, reverbed-out dreamy garage pop. It’s good. Last but not least, it’s Reno’s own Pissmixer is back with their gear grinding hardcore reminiscent of, interestingly enough, early Ceremony! Friday, July 17 8PM $8 adv/$10 at the door.
