Eunkang VERSUS Hannah: Kindred Creatures
Versus exhibition by Eunkang Koh & Hannah Huntly
August 11 – September 19, 2026

Eunkang VERUS Hannah: Kindred Creatures is the second edition of The Holland Project Gallery’s VERSUS exhibition series, a pairing of two artists with different backgrounds and unlikely similarities. The chosen artists are given full autonomy in how they choose to approach their collaboration. The final exhibition reflects on the interpersonal workings of the artist and how they not only navigated the physical space of the gallery, but how they also work with or against others toward a shared goal.
VERSUS fosters an opportunity for some playful competition between artists to uncover similarities and differences between their practices, and allows artists from different generations and experience levels to push each other in whole new ways. Koh and Huntley’s work has a lot more similarities than differences as seen through their use of anthropomorphizing characters, themes of chronic illness, and the human experience. This is no accident; Huntley was one of Koh’s students during her BFA education at The University of Nevada, Reno.
For this exhibition, Koh and Huntley were both involved in curating each others work with together from the start. Visually, their work makes an obvious pairing; Conceptually, their work overlaps with their use of self and experience. Huntley’s Queen Conch series that is on view for the exhibition, express’s her personal experience with her chronic illness and navigating her world; the house. Koh’s geese compares mutual and the act of migration between humans and the natural world.

Eunkang Koh received her B.F.A. from Hong-Ik University in Seoul, South Korea and M.F.A. from
California State University, Long Beach, California. Koh’s background as a Korean heritage deeply rooted in her main concept and philosophy and later her living environment influences the details and story-telling aspect of her work. She works in various media- printmaking, bookart, drawing, painting and installation to address human desires. Eunkang has shown her devotion to art and the art making process. She has had significant solo exhibitions that include Main Gallery, The Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and La Taller in Bilbao, Spain.
