Are you a music lover? Interested in putting together shows, festivals or events? Love behind-the-scenes action, working with awesome artists and bands, and learning the ins and outs of production?
AMP (Apprenticeship in Music Production) is a new education and mentorship program for anyone interested in learning more about live music and event production. AMP is presented in partnership by the Holland Project, OffBeat Music Festival, and KWNK 97.7FM.

AMP is a 6 month-long hands-on skill-building mentorship program designed to give hands-on-training and behind-the-scenes knowledge to those interested in the music industry, live music and event production, artist development and booking, festivals, back-of-house and front-of-house operations, community outreach and more. This is a FREE program designed to increase access to those interested in working or participating in live music and event production by removing barriers to entry; providing real education, networking and skillbuilding; and helping to build lasting relationships and pathways for longer term involvement in events and production.
AMP 2024 will focus on 5 key areas: event production, sound engineering, marketing, talent buying/booking, and audio/visual production. There are 5 open positions and participants will be part of a cohort that goes through the program together. This program begins in late April and runs through Sept/October 2024 with 3 Main Phases:
PHASE 1: Meet-Ups and Focus Groups (April 24 – May, 1.5-2 hours per week)
PHASE 2: Shadow Shifts (June – August, approx. 20 hours per month)*
PHASE 3: Onsite Event Production (Sept – Oct, additional 20-25 hours total)*
* Participants will receive small financial stipends in Phase 2 ($450), and Phase 3 ($400).
This program is for anyone interested in event production, booking and artist development, festival management, sound, radio, or event marketing and design. No previous experience or skills needed – just a love for music, events, culture and community! <3
Applicants must be at least 16 years-old, have the ability to show-up in-person for meetings and events, and must be able to commit to the attendance requirements. Applications are due by March 29th at 6PM!
