Zombies, robots, planes and explosions. The Holland Project, in collaboration with the Teen Art Council of the Nevada Museum of Art and KNPB Public Broadcasting, is excited to announce the return of the 3-Minute Film Competition, an open-ended glimpse at the exciting scene of short-form independent film-making in Reno and beyond! It’s been a year, and it’s time for a sequel.

Starting February 8, Holland will be accepting submissions for the competition, and the rules are the same: Make a film. Make it 3-minutes long or less. Put it on a DVD. Keep it clean-ish and hate-free. That’s it!

The submission deadline is March 15, after which the films will be juried and the top ten selections will screen at the Nevada Museum of Art on March 26 during Teen Art Night.

This year’s partnership with KNPB offers further incentive for budding filmmakers: as an exercise in self-promotion, entrants are encouraged to make a 30-60 second promo of their film – those selected by our jury will air during breaks on KNPB Channel 5, and the full versions of their films will be featured on KNPB’s brand new online video player alongside the network’s stellar lineup of community programming and award-winning documentaries.

To submit a film for consideration, entrants may submit their entry on DVD to: The Holland Project Headquarters, 30 Cheney Street, Reno, NV 89501
