A festival where you can get to know your local art community .

RENO Nevada (Sept. 14, 2023) — Double Scoop, Nevada’s independent visual arts publication, presents Scoop Fest, a new community art festival where people can get to know local artists and find out what the region’s arts organizations have to offer.
The event takes place at the Holland Project, 140 Vesta St., Reno, on Saturday Sept. 23 from noon-4 pm. This event is all-ages, and admission is free.
Event highlights include:
- Ice cream, lunch, and soft drinks
- Jewelry and ceramics for sale at our Mini Artisan Market
- A silent raffle with premium original artworks as prizes
- Painter Greg Allen’s exhibition A Certain Quality of Light: Paintings from the Desert West on view in the gallery
- An artist talk by Greg Allen at 2 p.m.
- Reps from local art organizations offering signups, swag, demos, and details about their exhibitions, classes, and other programs
